January Newsletter
Rehearsals have started on a beautiful new theatre production. We have an exciting cast and company announcement, news of our new Project Manager and a creative crew call out.
Before You Go by Laurence McKeown
Sorcha O’Hagan is leaving for Australia. Her bags are packed.
Only an overdue conversation with her father remains before she goes.
A new play from Laurence McKeown looking at loss, love and living.
Artistic Director Paula McFetridge is directing this courageous new production by the incredibly talented writer Laurence McKeown. Currently in rehearsals online, we plan to record the production in a found space in Belfast, early February (abiding by current government guidelines).
Like everyone, we are adapting to new ways of living, of working and of collaborating together. Before You Go is an evocative piece of storytelling inspired by workshops we led with young people from Cooley in 2020. In spite of the restrictions we are determined to showcase this important new piece of theatre for audiences in 2021.
A project supported by the European Union’s PEACE IV Programme, managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB).
