As part of the island wide series of commemoration activities marking the historic events of 1916, Kabosh in partnership with the South and East Belfast committee of Côras na Poblachta, will premiere a site-specific production in Short Strand on April 17th.
Audiences will be taken on a journey through the streets as figures from the past are brought to life to share their memories of the 1916 rising.
Along the way you will encounter Elizabeth Corr, Joseph Campbell, Thomas Wilson, Johanna Monahan and her son Charlie and others in new plays written by a number of local playwrights including Maria McManus, Edward Gowdy and Vincent Higgins.
Four original plays will be performed in exterior locations across the Strand by a team of esteemed local actors: Stephen Beggs, Maggie Cronin, Gerard Jordan, Gerard McCabe, Carol Moore and Antoinette Morelli supported by costumed actors and singers from the community.
