Oriana

Oriana

By Karl Wallace and Rachel O’Riordan. Performed February – March 2001

“beautifully tasteful little show”

THE GUARDIAN 4*

An enchanting, dark modern fairy tale about a little girl who lives in a box, her adventures and her quest to find home.

Oriana, meaning the chosen one or golden one, is the story of a girl who goes on a journey with three sleep travellers.  Each of the travellers disappears during the different seasons within the year, signifying a passing of time. Oriana chooses not to join them and carry on her travels.

60 minutes of dance, music and dynamic theatre without one word spoken.

“seamless piece of theatrical whimsy …. perfectly timed one hour of fast paced illusion”

THE SUNDAY TRIBUNE

“thrilling piece of imaginative theatre that will enthral young and old”
