Join us for the launch of the Street of Belfast App

Join us for half an hour on Tuesday 12th May in City Hall as we officially launch our newest mobile app, Streets of Belfast.

Building on the success of our previous mobile applications Belfast Bred and Crab Attack, Streets of Belfast is a first of its kind for the city. A fully interactive tour that combines information, photography, local tour guides and residents alongside theatrical excerpts to create a truly immersive experience exploring our city.

Created by Kabosh and developed in association with Failte Feirste Thiar,
Coiste, Taxi Trax, the Spectrum Centre, Shankill Women’s Centre and the Shankill Area Social History Group, Streets of Belfast is a bold new step in cultural tourism which will offer visitors, and locals, a new way of learning about and interacting with the city’s heritage.

The app can be used as an on-site experience to guide you around Belfast as you walk the routes in person or from the comfort of your own home, on a bus in Chicago or a gondola in Venice, in fact anywhere you can use your phone. It not only allows visitors a unique insight into the area but also raises awareness of Belfast’s heritage worldwide.

On May 12th you will hear from Kabosh’s Artistic Director Paula McFetridge on the inspiration behind the project, from Design Zoo on the design and technology behind the app and you will even experience some of the original theatre that the app features to bring Belfast to life.

Refreshments will be served on arrival from 12:15

Spaces are limited so please RSVP as soon as possible to dominic@kabosh.net or by telephone on 028 9024 3343.
